Christy Rhodes
Christy Rhodes, Ph.D., has been an adult educator for over 25 years. She worked with adult English language learners in Florida, the United Arab Emirates, and Costa Rica before joining the College of Education at East Carolina University, where she is currently an Associate Professor in the Adult Education MAEd program. In addition to adult literacy education, she is interested in the relationship between cultural identities in adult learning and the development of intercultural competence, which is the foundation of her community development, professional development workshops, and research agenda. She is President of the Coalition of Lifelong Learning Organizations (COLLO) and served as a member of the U.S. delegation to CONFINTEA VII.
