Ruth Janelle Nguyen
Janelle is a current sports professional, DEIB advocate, and former swimming student-athlete. Her career thus far has primarily been in college athletics, specifically in student-athlete development and DEIB. After her college athletics career ended, Janelle wanted to do anything but work in sports; however, the opportunity to impact lives and educate others proved too appealing to pass up. Through her work with student-athletes, Janelle has become a trusted voice in growing student-athlete advocacy efforts and leading student-athlete affinity groups.
Janelle is involved in the following professional organizations through committee service and mentoring programs: Women Leaders in Sports (WLS), Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA), the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), and Women in Sports and Events (WISE). Outside of work, Janelle enjoys playing squash, DIY arts & crafts, and reading at least two books at a time.
