Searcy Morgan is Founder and CEO of Matterlab, the nation’s leading strategic communications firm for foundations, schools, and nonprofits transforming life outcomes for children and families. Her life’s work centers around ensuring all children have access to the opportunities they deserve. Professionally, she promotes communication as a vital leadership skill and has advised the nation’s most impactful nonprofits on strategic communication for their foundings, closures, mergers, expansion, and shifts in leadership, strategy, and funding models. Personally, she invests in early-stage edtech companies that prioritize outcomes, promote access, push beyond the classroom setting, and drive down the cost of learning. She proudly serves on the Advisory Board for Texas Children’s Hospital, ranked the #2 best children’s hospital in the nation. She received her undergraduate degree in Literature from Rice University and her graduate degree in Neuroscience from Columbia University. She was raised in the Mississippi Delta and now resides in Austin, Texas, with her husband and two sons.
