Cole Wilson
Cole Wilson has devoted his life to uplifting and amplifying the voices of young people, specifically young Texans. He currently serves as State Rep. Vikki Goodwin’s Legislative Director. He recently received his master’s in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education where he studied education policy and analysis. He has three recently published scholarly articles on workforce access and community colleges from the Educating Design Lab and the Harvard Project on Workforce.
Before returning the Texas Legislature, Cole worked as a researcher at the Harvard Project on Workforce, served as a public school college access councilor to youth at risk of entering the foster care system in New York, he fought to increase civic engagement across Texas at the University of Texas’ Strauss Institute for Civic Life, fought for young peoples’ right to affordable healthcare, the workforce, and higher education with Young Invincibles, and served as a Legislative Director in Texas’ 86th Legislature.
He is active in local political campaigns and a frequent speaker at local education forums and symposiums. He's served and serves on a number of boards like the Austin Monitor, Brass Out Loud, and Young Invincibles. When he’s not working or studying Cole enjoys playing music around town. If you’re lucky, you can catch him playing a show jogging around Town Lake Trail.
