Linda Garza Battles

Linda Garza Battles brings 28 years of leadership and management experience in higher education policy development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement to her role as Regional Vice President, overseeing university initiatives to deliver graduates that meet workforce needs. At the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and Texas House of Representatives, she worked on statewide policies to expand access to higher education, improve student success, increase funding for state financial aid programs, and landmark legislation to expand access to higher education for underserved populations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public affairs and is a doctoral candidate in the Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership Program, UT Austin.
