Christopher McDonnell

Chris McDonnell is a Global Program Officer for the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) Program in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of English Language Programs (OELP). He is the social media manager and strategist responsible for the American English website and social media pages including being the producer and host of the American English Live Webinar Series. Prior to joining the State Department in 2020, Chris was an English language teacher and teacher trainer for twenty years in Japan, South Africa, Italy, Vietnam, the Netherlands and in the United States. Chris currently lives just outside of Washington DC in Northern Virginia.
