Sarah Hall is a 23-year North Carolina public servant and Director of the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) at NC State University, a nonpartisan organization that brings people together across sectors, regions, and perspectives to collaborate on finding solutions to the state’s most critical policy issues. She provides insight and support for multi-sector, programs and engages key stakeholders on issues important to North Carolina’s vibrancy and economic competitiveness. Prior to IEI, Sarah worked at the NC Division of Public Health, NC Department of Public Instruction and UNC Chapel Hill addressing adolescent health issues. Sarah has administered numerous federal and state programs requiring statewide implementation and directly understands the challenges of program implementation. As director of a convening organization that influences public policy, she brings stakeholders together to develop data and experience informed solutions, as well as provides peer-learning opportunities to address challenges and leverage opportunities that advance the local implementation of those solutions. Sarah received her Master of Public Health from the University at Albany. She has volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem for children in foster care since 2010.
