Cindy Pineda is a social justice-driven educator dedicated to youth development, racial equity, and closing the achievement gap. In her current role as Director with BUILD-National, she is responsible for developing strategic programming around youth entrepreneurship and post-secondary pathways. Previously, she worked on education policy reform in Washington DC before spending almost a decade serving the New York public school system through various roles in the nonprofit sector and higher education. Her work in New York specialized in educational equity, developing community-serving partnerships, and designing/implementing programs for first-generation students of color. Her devotion for social change has also led her on various international community-based projects.
