Katy Launius, Ph.D

Katy Launius, Ph.D., is Lumina Foundation's strategy officer for student success. She shapes Lumina's community college strategy, and leads the foundation’s work supporting adult learners of color through stackable credentials. Previously, at Dallas College, she led support programs across seven campuses, including designing a student success model informed by Sustainable Development Goals with integrated climate education and action. Katy's research explores higher ed policy and finance, focusing on equitable outcomes at Minority-Serving Institutions and community colleges. She received her doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
