Choquette Hamilton
Dr. Choquette Hamilton is a social entrepreneur who is committed to social justice and racial equity. She is the Founder and CEO of The RISE Center for Liberation in Early Childhood Education, created to dismantle oppressive systems for children under the age of eight. As a champion for young children in our community, Dr. Hamilton represents Mayor Kirk Watson as his appointee on the City of Austin’s Early Childhood Council and led the Strategic Planning Committee for United Way of Central Texas’ Success by Six Coalition. Dr. Hamilton holds a B.A. in Sociology/African American Studies from the UT Austin, a Masters of Elementary Education from St. Joseph's University, a Masters of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Educational Policy from UT Austin.
