Jim Balfanz

Jim serves as CEO of City Year and began his journey as a corps member in 1993. Notably, he served as the Founding Executive Director of City Year Greater Philadelphia and went on to be COO, and then President at the National Headquarters. He has led City Year’s evolution as a performance-driven organization through a sustained period of growth. Jim received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business Executive Management Program.
