Byron Sanders

Byron Sanders, President and CEO of Big Thought, is dedicated to narrowing the opportunity gap for youth, championing education and equitable communities. Big Thought's work helps closing the opportunity gap by valuing youth as co-designers of their world, helping equip them with experiences that build their 21st century skills, and empowering ecosystems to create the opportunities for young leaders to thrive.

Shortly put, he and the team are maniacally focused on creating creators for a 21st century world.

His leadership has garnered regional and national recognition, including the 2022 Dallas Business Journal Most Admired CEO and the 2023 NCAA Legends and Legacy Community Award. A Presidential Leadership Scholar (2017), Byron also received the CASEL O'Brien Award in 2020 for his work in social and emotional learning.

His diverse career spans banking, finance, education, and philanthropy, with significant roles at Bank of America, the Dallas Education Foundation, and Group Excellence. He serves on various boards, including Dallas College Foundation and Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and is an alumnus and trustee of The University of Tulsa. Above all, Byron is in ever deepening love with his wife, Celeste, and their two children.
