Amanda Krumrine

Amanda Krumrine is the makerspace supervisor at Carroll County Public Library’s Exploration Commons at 50 East. She provides one-on-one and class-based instruction on a variety of digital design topics. Amanda utilizes project-based learning to introduce beginning makers to the knowledge needed to get started in the makerspace. She believes that learning new technology should be fun, not intimidating, and structures her classes to introduce concepts in a manner that encourages learners to take creative ownership of their projects.
Outside of the library, Amanda and her husband raise a herd of cattle. Her agricultural experiences have given her insight on practical innovation and creation, as well as a tenacity for problem solving that she utilizes daily in her role in the makerspace.
