Megan Roper

Megan is an artist and educator who has worked in charter and independent schools in NYC for the past 11 years. She is passionate about student leadership and helping her students find their creative voices. Outside of the classroom, Megan’s studio practice focuses on sewing garments and creating abstract patchwork wall hangings. She has exhibited her work around the city and was a fellow for the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning Artist Inc. series. Throughout her time in NYC, Megan has owned her own upcycled jewelry business, hosted adult craft classes, consulted in art education, and volunteered with arts organizations like The MET, MoMA PS1, ThreadUP, and Creative Time.
