Carissa Solomon

I am an educator and mother of two. In my fifteen years of classroom experience, I have taught in public, charter, and private schools. I am currently the humanities educator at Embark Education, an innovative micro middle school embedded in two small businesses in Denver, Colorado. I am committed to placing learners at the center of their education by acknowledging and supporting their agency. I also strongly believe that joy is a necessary learning component and seek to help all learners cultivate their joy! I find my joy in reading, yoga, jigsaw puzzles, and dancing & singing enthusiastically, if not well.
