James L. Moore III

Dr. James L. Moore III is the Assistant Director for the Directorate for STEM Education at the National Science Foundation. He is the senior leader for the STEM education directorate, which has a budget over $1 billion and almost 200 employees. His programs focus on STEM education projects in K-12, higher education, and the workforce. Dr. Moore is nationally recognized for his work with African American men and has been a part of The Ohio State University’s faculty since 2002. An accomplished academic, he has co-authored seven books and has been featured in a variety of major media outlets.
