Benoit Wirz

Ben Wirz is a Founding Partner at Brighteye, the most active European early-stage Edtech VC. After recently closing their second fund at €100M, Brighteye now has €150M under management, and a 40-plus-strong portfolio across Europe and North America. Investing in promising Edtech companies at Seed and Series A, the fund has a strong commitment to partner with the next wave of founders harnessing technology to maximise human potential.
Before establishing Brighteye in 2017 Ben launched and ran the Knight Enterprise Fund, a VC investing in early-stage media and edtech companies in the US and UK as part of the Knight Foundation. He has made 50+ investments in startups, including some of the most promising young Edtech companies, like Nearpod and Brighteye exit Epic!.
