Aileen Mokuria

Aileen Mokuria was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is the Co-Director of Content and Programming at LiberatED. Aileen is a passionate educator and has led teams and districts to create systems that support the social and emotional well-being of young people and adults. Aileen comes from a family of travelers and storytellers, which grounds her youth work to be centered on uplifting the genius of young people so that their stories can be heard too. She received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California and her master’s in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Aileen is passionate about wellness, justice, and living life joyfully.
