Lindsay Knisely has taught writing and social justice at the University of California, Santa Cruz since 2004. She is the two-time winner of the UC Santa Cruz Excellence in Teaching Award. Lindsay focuses on supporting the academic journey of first-generation students. For the past fourteen years, she has been teaching a popular writing course that investigates the ways that young people's relationships with themselves and others have been affected by their digital connectivity. Lindsay has a particular interest in creating and sharing hands-on classroom activities that support student success. She has an MFA in Poetry from the University of Oregon, and a BA in Creative Writing and Psychology from Oberlin College.
