Joanna Cannon

Joanna Cannon is a Senior Fellow with the Walton Family Foundation, where she partners with the K-12 education team to support strategic planning and grantmaking for new initiatives. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer for PENCIL, an education non-profit, and as Chief Strategic Officer for the Division of Talent, Labor, and Innovation at the NYC Department of Education, the nation’s largest school system. Joanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Scripps College, a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship program at the University of Chicago.
