Making the World Better with Civics-Focused Media for Kids

Children are often at the forefront – of new tech, developing resilience and empathy, and yes, even democracy. Many K-12 schools have cut back on civics curriculum requirements, and a recent report found that on average, the federal government spends 50 cents per student per year teaching civics in schools, compared to $50 on STEM subjects. So how can we engage our youngest learners in a topic as complex and “un-fun” as civics? Join children’s media experts and creatives as they dive into new concepts and projects that do just that – and how the adults in their lives can join them.
