Using Stories to Heal
Educators are on the frontlines of shifting culture and empowering the next generation of youth to end racial violence once and for all. Films can be a powerful aid in countering racist narratives as we reimagine how Black, brown, Indigenous, and Asian people are portrayed in the world. Films have also been used to incite racial violence. Using a play-based approach, learn how to use films and other forms of storytelling strategically to shift racial narratives towards radical inclusivity in K-12 learning spaces.
