When seeking solutions to prevent youth violence, many of us focus on security measures and in-the-moment intervention – but this only works when violence is imminent. How do we intervene before a young person chooses violence or self-harm? Research proves that knowing what the warning signs are, creating connections, and getting help are the most effective ways to prevent tragedy. Come learn how you can strengthen your school community – parents, educators, school staff, and partners – to better support students in need of help, as well as their peers, to stop violence before it can happen.
