Terah has spent her career working across sectors to align decisions made about technology development and deployment by governments and private sector actors with the long-term health of society.

Most recently, she was the Founding Executive Director of the global nonprofit Partnership on AI and was a policy advisor to the United States Chief Technology Officer Megan Smith in President Barack Obama's Office of Science and Technology Policy. She has spent over a decade building and supporting organizations responsibly innovating in critical new domains at the frontier of AI technology research and development, and currently sits as an Executive in Residence at Zetta Venture Partners championing and investing in early stage applied AI founders. She is widely known for her expertise in the field of artificial intelligence and technology policy, and is passionate about helping organizations build responsible data products--and helping governments effectively understand and regulate them.
