Kayla Jimenez

Kayla Jimenez is a national correspondent for USA TODAY, where she specializes in reporting on education policy and inequities in schools across the nation.

Previously, she reported on Bay Area schools and statewide education policy in California for The Mercury News and the East Bay Times. She started her career in education journalism at the nonprofit news organization Voice of San Diego. There, she reported on sexual harassment and abuse in schools, education policy and inequities in San Diego County schools for nearly three years.
