Hesham El-Rewini

Dr. El-Rewini is a proven leader in higher education, with more than 30 years of experience at private and public universities. He joined Marymount University in 2019 as Provost and Senior Vice President. He was Dean of Engineering at the University of North Dakota for 11 years. Before that, he served for 7 years at Southern Methodist University as chair of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, and 11 years at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as assistant/associate/full professor. He holds Ph.D. in Computer Science from Oregon State University. Throughout his career in higher education, Hesham has led funded research projects, published numerous scholarly articles, supervised master's and doctoral students and coauthored several books. He is also a registered engineer in the State of Texas.
