Shanté Elliott is the Founder and CEO at TasselTurn Education, a serial social entrepreneur and doctoral trained researcher who has combined book smarts with life smarts in founding and scaling social impact businesses. Shanté has evolved from a traditional scholar to a thought leader, combining street smarts and book smarts into the marketplace for social good. In 2019, Shanté founded TasselTurn Education, an edtech nonprofit matching foster care-involved and housing insecure youth to post-secondary opportunities. TasselTurn’s college planning platform provides youth access to tutoring, connections to coaches and career experts, and social emotional learning content to build skills that lead to graduation and successful transitions from foster care.
