David Troutman

David R. Troutman, PhD is the Associate Vice Chancellor, Institutional Research & Advanced Analytics for the Office of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Texas System. He provides leadership in rethinking the systems and processes used to gather data and to distill it into information that decision-makers can use in effective and efficient ways. He conducts quantitative and qualitative system-wide research studies and directs a team of researchers who provide analytical support for the System’s internal and external stakeholders. He has collaborated with federal and state agencies to examine the use of UI wage records to examine post-collegiate outcomes. He earned his PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
