Amanda R. Matos brings over a decade of experience in public affairs and social movements to the current movement for reproductive freedom. As Senior Director of Constituency Campaigns at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and PP Action Fund, she manages three national advocacy programs - Black Organizing Program, Raiz & Latinx Organizing, Planned Parenthood Generation Action- building grassroots power in Black and Latinx communities and college campuses across 50 states. Amanda's background in community organizing stems from her childhood growing up in the Bronx, New York as a proud Nuyorican and later co-founding and directing the WomanHOOD Project, a youth-led after-school mentorship program for girls of color. Believing firmly in the importance of community-driven policy, Amanda has spent her career pushing institutions toward funding, centering, and partnering with grassroots community efforts led by young people of color.

Amanda completed a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnicity & Race Studies from Columbia University and a Master in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School as a Sheila C. Johnson Fellow, and is a fellowship alum of Young People For, New Leaders Council, and the Open Society Internship on Rights and Governance. She was a Forbes 30 Under 30 Law & Policy Lister and has been quoted and published in Rolling Stone, CNN, MSNBC, Elle.com, ABC Nightline, Feministing.com, the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy, among other media outlets.
