As a community advocate, Marika Pfefferkorn is working to transform systems and scale up
successes across education, technology, civic leadership and entrepreneurship.
Pfefferkorn advocates data justice through the ‘No Data About Us Without Us’ campaign.
This work requires intensive community engagement to raise awareness about the
use of big data, predictive analytics, facial recognition, threat assessments, surveillance,
and student privacy. Pfefferkorn’s efforts have culminated in the Data for Public Good Campaign, launched in 2020.
