Jake Torok
I once took a natural resource management class in high school, and I never looked back since. I quickly fell in love with topics related to habitat restoration and conservation, environmental sustainability, and climate change mitigation. I am currently the president of the Student Environmental Coalition and vice president of the Farm Club at Michigan’s Grand Valley State University. My ultimate goal is to go into the field of national resource management and teach farmers and communities more sustainable methods of farming & how to grow their own food to offset the negative effects of climate change and help them reduce their carbon footprints, while also improving community resilience and togetherness. In my free time I love to explore national parks, go backpacking & camping, rollerblade, bike, garden, volunteer, and just about anything outside!
