Christy Kuehn
With over 20 years of experience as an educator, my career and academic practice focus on tackling issues surrounding equity within P-20 educational systems and meeting the educational needs of marginalized students. I have a passion for creating inclusive learning environments that truly meet the needs of all students, which is grounded in my experience as a teacher in K-12 schools and at the university level, as well as P-20 educators. I am a compassionate leader who loves both connecting with young people and building relationships with those who are just as driven as I am to eliminate the educational gaps between classes, races, and cultures. In my current position at the Consortium for Public Education (CPE), I facilitate professional development workshops around Project-Based Learning, culturally relevant pedagogies, and inclusive learning environments. I regularly provide coaching sessions and workshops for school districts as they strive to increase student success and engagement. I have provided coaching and professional development to numerous educators, providing me with a deep understanding of the varied needs of students and educators. I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in English, along with a doctorate in Instructional Management and Leadership.
