Paul Abueg-Igaz

Paul Abueg-Igaz is an educator and media artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. He is currently a Youth Program Manager at BAVC Media. He has written filmmaking and media literacy curriculum for the California Film Institute and SFMOMA, and was a high school English and media arts teacher for eight years.

In addition to his work as an educator, Abueg-Igaz is an active musician and filmmaker. He is currently directing “Searchin’ for My Soul,” a feature-length documentary on Dakila, a pioneering Filipino-American rock band from the 1970’s Mission District music scene.
