DeShanna Reed
Dr. DeShanna Reed is an author, researcher, educator, and former school administrator with two decades of expertise working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in day programs and public schools. Her background is in psychology and, as the sibling of an individual with level 3 Autism and mother of children with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ADHD, her first-hand experience equips her to provide insights and guidance to neurodivergent families. Dr. Reed earned her doctorate in Professional Leadership with a focus in Special Populations from the University of Houston and formerly worked in Behavioral Health Research at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Reed is also a two-time TEDx speaker and is the Founder and Managing Director of D. Reed Coaching, Consulting & Advocacy, LLC, a firm providing educators, school leaders, families, and communities with services and tools to cultivate accessible, equitable, and inclusive ecosystems where individuals of all abilities thrive.
