Dennis Roche is President of Burbio, a data service that measures K-12 school finances and operations that has become a source of fast, actionable data during the pandemic. Roche has spent over two decades building companies in the media and information industries. Burbio's School Opening Tracker became the authority on measuring K-12 school openings during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 academic years used by policy makers, K-12 suppliers, researchers and media outlets to evaluate school disruptions. Burbio's ESSER III spending tracker has compiled detailed spending plans covering almost $100 billion of Federal stimulus spending from local source sites, and Burbio's does similar work evaluating K-12 enrollment trends, plus K-12 operating and capital expenditure budgets, across K-12.
