Greg Weatherford
Greg Weatherford II is a lifelong entrepreneur and experienced Fortune 100 executive whose career has been dedicated to creating innovative solutions and empowering youth.
At 12, Greg started his first nonprofit to provide youth with knowledge and funding to create their own service projects. Over the next six years, the nonprofit mobilized thousands of youth to serve their communities.
By 17, he was selected to lead a signature social impact project granting $5 million annually to youth-led service-learning projects.
During this time, Greg was encouraged to use the skills he had gained from leading his nonprofit to create a for-profit company. Seeking a way to combine his passions for service, helping young people, and being entrepreneurial, he created a youth sports and enrichment camp provider. The company became one of the largest youth programming providers in the country and served thousands annually.
From 2017 - 2022, Greg led community engagement and special projects at SMU. In this role, he helped secure a landmark partnership with Toyota North America and a school district to create an innovative STEM-focused school that serves an under-resourced community. He also conceptualized a partnership with a major children's healthcare provider to address systemic access, equity, and retention issues in youth sports.
In 2021, Greg co-authored a book with a student he mentored called Better Together: How 30 Days of Service Changed My Life. The book encourages youth to volunteer by sharing practical advice for serving your community.
Greg leads Allstate’s national grantmaking and programming to empower youth to serve and improve communities. During his time at Allstate, Greg developed and led the Foundation's new focus on youth service and built partnerships with TIME for Kids, DonorsChoose, Roadtrip Nation, and more.
