Polina Pomytkina

Polina Pomytkina (she/her) is a bilingual, special education science teacher with 8 years working in classrooms focused on IEP and ELL success. In the Austin Independent School District, Polina serves on the Decolonizing Science Curriculum Committee (and is the chair), the Bowie Staff Equity Committee, Bowie Community Equity Committee, and District Teacher Focus Group. Previously, she worked in special education at Pittsburgh Public Schools. Polina was honored with the Bowie Teacher of Promise Award and nominated as Pittsburgh Public School Exemplary Student Teacher. She earned her B.S. in biology and M.Ed. in special education with academic content certification from the University of Pittsburgh.
