Dan Reichard
Dan started his professional teaching career in Stafford County Public Schools at Kate Waller Barrett Elementary School. As a fifth-grade teacher, he worked to develop an ever-growing repertoire of tools and techniques, relevant and authentic learning experiences, and community-building opportunities valuing the contributions of all learners. Now in his eleventh year, Dan serves as the Coordinator of Professional Learning for New Teacher Support. Dan oversees the school division's Mentor 360 program for early-career educators.
Dan began his education journey by attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education K-6 with an Urban Concentration in 2012. He continued working towards leading teacher development and learning by earning his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership K-12 from George Mason University in 2017. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Education, Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dan has received numerous awards for his accomplishments in and out of the classroom, notably being named the 2018 Stafford County Public Schools Teacher of the Year, 2018 Washington Post Teacher of the Year and the 2019 Virginia Region III Teacher of the Year. In addition, Dan was named a 2019 International Literacy Association 30 Under 30 Honoree.
