Mitzi Ordoñez

Mitzi Ordoñez is a mother with students in Houston Independent School District and one of the inaugural fellows of Familias Latinas por la Educación, a parent empowerment fellowship aimed at elevating the voice of Latino parents in Houston. Along with a group of mothers, Mitzi presented a 10 point vision plan to Houston Superintendent Millard House and worked to get a resolution passed that made real-time translation and interpreting services available at all Houston ISD board meetings.
