Zac Rudd
Zac is a Designer in the Education Studio at HKS, where he brings equity centered design to the forefront. He is a lifelong learner who is equipped with a Master of Education, his passion is understanding pedagogy ideologies, challenging the norm, pushing boundaries and deconstructing historical context - all in an effort to reimagine and enhance quality of life through design and the built environment. Zac takes an active role in creating an inclusive workplace as a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council member and Co-Chair of the HKS Pride Affinity and Inclusion LGBTQIA+ group. He additionally has an active role in advancing inclusive design in our communities as a Steering Committee member of CitizenHKS, the firm’s Public Interest Design Studio.
Zac has morphed his passions of design and education into one career – with a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Education in Higher Education Administration, he strives to dig deep alongside of passionate stakeholders to understand challenges and provide resolution through creative solutions of the built environment. With a vast knowledge of educational pedagogies and systemic structures – he is able to connect, understand, and transform ideas into applicable and equitable physical solutions.
