Joel Serin-Christ
Joel Serin-Christ is a filmmaker, producer, and writer who tells stories to inspire a more equitable and just world. In his films and in his methods, Joel purposefully centers the voices of those most proximate to and negatively affected by systems of oppression. Joel has experience across many aspects of documentary, including directing, producing, writing, editing, and filming work that has gained recognition and selection to film festivals locally and internationally. He studied professional writing for multimedia at the University of California, Santa Barbara where he created both narrative and documentary films through independent study and filmmaking programs. He then received his Master of Science in education from the University of Pennsylvania with specialization in documentary.
