Kelsey Fusco
Kelsey is a science teacher and department chair at South Forsyth High School in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Human Anatomy and Physiology is her first teaching passion, as it gives her an opportunity to educate students about their bodies to help them make better decisions about their health. After participating in the CDC Science Ambassador Fellowship, she created an epidemiology course which expanded to two other high schools in her district starting in the 2022/2023 school year. In 2020 Kelsey worked as a teacher scholar with the CDC Foundation to help create the NERD Academy curriculum so that any teacher who wants to incorporate public health or epidemiology content into their classroom has the resources to do so. Kelsey is originally from northern Maine.
