Dr. Bo Stjerne Thomsen, Head of Education Impact for LEGO® Education, is among the foremost academic experts in the world on Learning through Play. In a career spanning more than 20 years, he’s emerged as a fierce advocate for the power of play and its ability to transform classroom experiences for both students and educators. He’s led innovative work with partners and communities across 50+ countries, exploring the “why” behind positive outcomes in different geographies. His extensive research on creativity, play and learning – which demonstrates that play is an important strategy to promote student engagement, inclusion and holistic skills – has been published widely. Previously, he served as the Chair of Learning through Play and the Global Head of Research for the LEGO Foundation.
