Rebecca Sheff

Rebecca (she/her) has focused her career on the intersection of organizing, healing, racial and gender equity and community activated policy. Her expertise in grassroots organizing informs her national advocacy and policy work at the Children’s Defense Fund. Rebecca is a trained Restorative Justice Facilitator, and previously conducted healing circles with an emphasis on repair and inclusivity with Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth. She has traveled throughout the country teaching and engaging youth and adults in restorative justice practices in school districts, the juvenile justice system and non-profit organizations, and has collaborated with state and local officials on community-centered response to violence.
