McKenzie Snow has served as Deputy Secretary of Education in Virginia since 2022. Previously McKenzie served as New Hampshire division director of learner support. In that role, she led the bureaus of instructional support, academics and assessment, special education, career and technical education, adult education, student wellness, and nutrition. McKenzie also served in the federal government as special assistant to the president at the White House Domestic Policy Council, senior adviser at the Office of Management and Budget, and K-12 policy director at the U.S. Department of Education. McKenzie was named Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, Fulbright grantee, Forbes 30 Under 30 for Law and Policy, and George W. Bush Institute and Clinton Foundation Presidential Leadership Scholar.
