Deborah Lee
Deb is an innovative senior leader and practical visionary with ten years of experience in US K-12 education. She currently is the Founder & CEO of Dancing Panda, an education technology startup focused on family engagement. In addition, she has been in a variety of different roles - from an operational school leader at an elementary school in East Harlem, to a founding team member of Newsela, an edtech literacy startup, and most recently led the talent development anti-racism work at an education non-profit in East Harlem, EHTP.
Deb started her career in technology marketing, and for close to ten years, worked with Fortune 500 companies. She first worked as a senior customer services representative managing the accounts of several financial services firms for a technology market research firm, IDC. Later, she oversaw the marketing and operations of The Computerworld Honors Program, an IT awards program.
Deb has a Masters in Education Leadership from the Broad Center, an MBA from Babson College focused on Social Entrepreneurship, and a BA in Economics from Wellesley College. She enjoys networking and meeting other people, cooking, arts and crafts, watching movies and Asian dramas, reading, singing, snowboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, and travel. Deb lives with her husband and two young children in northern NJ.
