Ross Wiener
Ross Wiener is a vice president of the Aspen Institute and executive director of the Education & Society
Program. Through the Education & Society Program, Ross facilitates exemplary adult learning and
leadership development experiences for educators and policymakers and authors original analysis and
thought leadership for the field. Aspen’s Education & Society Program is focused on calling the field to
embrace a rich vision of student success that advances economic and racial justice, using Opportunity to
Learn and the integration of social, emotional, and academic development as frames to operationalize a
rich vision. Previously, Ross served as policy director at Education Trust, as a trial attorney in DOJ’s Civil
Rights Division, and as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals.
