Christian Simanullang

Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, Christian Simanullang has been working in the Public Diplomacy office of the U.S. Consulate in Surabaya, Indonesia for more than 10 years. He is the Director of MyAmerica Surabaya, an information, research, and outreach facility located within the Consulate. In this role, he directs and manages events at MyAmerica Surabaya as well as three satellite locations hosted in universities across Eastern Indonesia, covering a total geographic range of more than 75 million people. Christian's interests in STEAM and MakerSpaces lead him to support the design and implementation of innovative, user-centered learning experiences for youth, including a V/R science lab. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from the University of Indonesia.
