Leslie Bushara

Leslie has been a leader in early childhood development throughout a 30-year career at CMOM. She has overseen the development of key programmatic initiatives including the creation of the Learning Hub model in shelters and Head Starts, leading content development for the groundbreaking early childhood exhibit, PlayWorks™, and spearheading the creation of the curriculum and professional development model for its EatSleepPlay™ health initiative. Leslie serves on the executive committee for Association of Children’s Museums and has been honored with the 2013 White House Champions for Change, the 2017 New York State Association for the Education of Young Children Champions for Children, and the 2018 Institute for Children Poverty and Homelessness Beyond Poverty, among others.
