Lidiya Lednyak
Lidiya Lednyak is the Assistant Commissioner of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of Early Intervention and has been with the Bureau since 2009. In this role, she oversees the NYC Early Intervention Program, which provides services to approximately 30,000 NYC children ages birth to three with developmental delays or disabilities each year. Ms. Lednyak has a strong commitment to racial equity and has implemented multiple initiatives to promote it, including making changes to law and health code, developing certificate programs and training for EI professionals, and conducting outreach through media campaigns and partnerships with community-based organizations. Due to her efforts, the NYC Program increased participation of Black children even during the COVID-19 pandemic
